The finished nail effect
Bare Nails vs. Finished Nails
Natural nails can sometimes look dull or unfinished. With just four simple steps, you can bring out their natural shine, brighten the tips, hydrate, and enjoy a clean, polished look.
The result is subtle, effortless, and completely natural — like a French manicure, without the polish.
How it works
Loved by our community
“Everyone thinks I’m wearing polish.”
Bare Hands customers love how natural their nails look — and how often people ask what polish they’re wearing.
With consistent use, nails appear smoother and more resilient while cuticles stay soft and conditioned. A natural shine develops that looks intentional and effortless.
Many customers use The Bare French Manicure as a complete replacement for traditional polish.
What's inside the kit
Everything You Need for the Bare French Manicure
Going polish-free means skipping the parts no one loves — no toxic fumes, no dry time, no chipping a day later. Instead of layering on color and waiting for it to set, The Bare French Manicure enhances your natural nails, creating a smooth, glossy surface with bright, clean tips that make them look effortlessly finished.
Designed to last six months and replace ongoing salon visits, it’s a smarter, more sustainable way to maintain a polished French manicure at home — natural, effortless, and beautifully finished.
A clean, polish-free take on the classic French tip.
The Bare French Manicure is a subtle take on a classic—designed for when you want your nails to look a little more polished, without committing to polish.
Instead of paint, this kit uses a simple whitening pencil to gently brighten the tips of your nails, enhancing what’s already there. The effect is clean, understated, and quietly refined.
A softer approach to the French
Rather than covering the nail, the Bare French is about definition and balance. It adds a touch of white to the tips to create contrast, while keeping the rest of the nail natural and healthy.
It’s an easy way to elevate your everyday look—or add a little extra polish for occasions—without chemicals, upkeep, or salon visits. Thoughtful, minimal, and made to fit seamlessly into a natural nail routine.
FAQs
How long do your nails stay white?
Since the pencil is water soluble, this varies based on how many times you wash your hands and how "powerful" your soap is. 3 days is the average. The perfect time to add this effect is before a night-time event. Since there's no dry time, you can do your Bare French just before you dash out the door!
My nails are damaged from repeated exposure to gel polish. Can this help?
Yes! The Polisher can help you to smooth any rough surfaces on your nails in as little as one session.
My nails are peeling or splitting. Is this right for me?
We don't recommend using the polisher in this kit until you've resolved these conditions. See our 14-day Healing Guide to begin your journey the natural way.
